ABOUT THE PARTNERSHIP
For Good. Forever.
The Community Foundation Partnership, Inc. (CFP) is comprised of two local Community Foundation members: Lawrence County Community Foundation and Martin County Community Foundation.
CFP supports its member Foundations by providing streamlined management, administrative, fundraising, and endowment building expertise allowing the County Foundations to focus on promoting philanthropy, endowment building, and making a difference in their respective communities.
Different from a stand-alone foundation, CFP provides governance as the legal entity under which its member Foundations operate. The members own and govern CFP, which provides operational support to local foundation staff and boards.
OUR MISSION
To improve the quality of life by providing philanthropic leadership and building permanent endowments that enable donors to make lasting investments in Lawrence and Martin Counties.
Giving - donors make gifts to the Community Foundation
Growing - gifts are invested
Granting - endowment income benefits charitable causes
and the community
Principles
-
CFP cost-effectively supports our local Community Foundations by providing a shared staff of talented, specialized employees who provide financial administration, long-term sustainability strategies, marketing, programing, and other needs that bubble up.
-
Our partner Foundations maintain their local identity in fostering relationships with donors, grantees, and the public. Each County Foundation has its own county advisory board which establishes the vision and goals for its county. They, along with their local Development Director, focus on asset development, grants, and programs for their county.
-
Each partner Foundation has an equal stake and equal power in the governance of the Partnership.
Values
-
Do the right thing every time
-
Exceed expectations in all we do
-
Preserve donor intent for future generations
-
Know our community and its needs; act to meet those needs
-
Love what we do knowing it makes a real difference in our community
