
Shoals Volunteer Fire Department
With a grant received from the Martin County Community Foundation the Town of Shoals will be installing an additional early warning siren system in West Shoals.
The additional siren will help reach more residents with early warning. We are excited to extend our citizen safety coverage area. Thank you MCCF!

First Christian Church Bedford
Jamie Blackwell, Moderator at First Christian Church, accepted a check from Lawrence County Community Foundation Board Member Kim Sipes. The check was a payout from a permanent endowment established through LCCF to benefit the church.

Martin County Historical Society
The Martin County Historical Society received a Board Directed grant to make badly needed repairs to the future Veterans’ Room at the museum.

Bedford Police Depatment
Bedford Police Chief Terry Moore accepted a fund distribution check from Hope Flores, CFP CEO. A permanent endowment fund was established through LCCF to provide funds for the police department to provide drug and alcohol education.

Christian Women's Ministry
Melissa Courter, MCCF Board Member, presented her 2020 Made My Day Grant to Renaee Keller, Janice Henning and Martha Schitter for the Christian Women’s Ministry.

L.I.F.E. Backpack Blessings
Anah Gouty presented her 2020 Make My Day Grant to L.I.F.E. for their Burris Backpack Blessings Program. Hope Flores, CFP CEO, and Lisa Star, CFP Finance and Grants Officer joined Anah in presenting the check to Laura Bailey with L.I.F.E.

Martin County 4-H
Phillip Smith, MCCF Board member, presented his 2020 Make My Day Grant to are Ellen Dant, Martin County 4-H Council member, and Dena Held, Purdue Extension Director and Educator, for the Martin County 4-H.

Green Hill Cemetery
Green Hill Cemetery received a 2020 Challenge Grant from the Lawrence County Community Foundation helping them repair the Paolini Temple monument and family headstones.

Loogootee Community Schools
MCCF awarded five Classroom Grants to Loogootee Teachers for small, in-class projects that don’t have a traditional source of funding.

Lawrence County History Museum
Hope Flores, CEO, and Lisa Starr, Finance and Grants Officer, presented a Board Directed Grant to Rowena Cross-Najafi on behalf of the Lawrence County History Department.
