2026 Lilly Endowment
Community Scholarship

Applications and all parts thereof, must be received in the applicant’s High School Guidance Office by 12:00 noon on Wednesday, August 13, 2025. Late or incomplete applications will not be included in the selection process.

The 2026 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship provides funding for:

  • Full tuition (otherwise unreimbursed) and required fees for up to four years of undergraduate study on a full-time basis leading to a baccalaureate degree at any Indiana public or private college or university accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools; the total amount of the scholarship is calculated on the basis of the recipient’s chosen college’s tuition and required fees as determined prior to the start of each school year.

  • Special allocation of $900 per year for required books and required equipment.

  • Does NOT include room and board.

Lawrence County
Community Foundation

APPLICANT CRITERIA

  • Applicants must rank in the top 7% of their class at the end of the last academic year to apply.

  • Applicants must reside in Lawrence County, Indiana and attend Bedford North Lawrence or Mitchell High School in Lawrence County.  (note:  some resident addresses are outside of the county, but are zoned to a school inside; that is permitted)

  • The scholarship recipient must intend to pursue a baccalaureate degree in four continuous years on a full-time basis at any Indiana college or university accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

  • The scholarship recipient will graduate and/or have a diploma from an accredited Lawrence County high school by June 30, 2026.

ELIGIBILITY

Children (including step) or grandchildren (including step) of the current Lawrence County Community Foundation Board, Staff and Selection Committee Members are not eligible to apply for the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship.

Siblings (including step/half) of previous Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship recipients are not eligible to apply for the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship.

 

Martin County
Community Foundation

APPLICANT CRITERIA

  • Applicants must have a 3.6 GPA or higher at the end of the last academic year to apply.

  • Applicants must reside in Martin County, Indiana and attend Loogootee or Shoals High School in Martin County. (note: some resident addresses are outside of the county, but are zoned for one of the high schools inside; this is permitted).

  • The scholarship recipient must intend to pursue a baccalaureate degree in four continuous years on a full-time basis at any Indiana college or university accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

  • The scholarship recipient will graduate and/or have a diploma from an accredited Martin County high school by June 30, 2026.

ELIGIBILITY

Children (including step) or grandchildren (including step) of the current Martin County Community Foundation Board, Staff and Selection Committee Members are not eligible to apply for the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship.
